Polygraph for Relational and Sexual Issues

A Guide to Restoring Trust
Using Lie Detection
This book is a guide for betrayed partners using polygraph (lie detector) testing to get to know their unfaithful partner, asses and re-establish trust. Over the years, I have examined thousands of people with destructive sexual and relational pasts. There is always a victim. When trust is broken, it is hard to know where to start. Questions keep popping up. If you have been betrayed by your partner, you are not alone. Many others are asking similar questions.
I have compiled questions from a variety of cases in which partners were wounded by some form of infidelity. Inside this book you will also find dozens of case studies based on true stories, though fictionalized to protect identities. My hope is that you can be encouraged by hearing how others have faced similar circumstances as yourself.
If you have any questions or topics you believe I should include in future iterations of this resource, please email me at david@dopolygraph.com.
What Professionals are Saying About the Book
“Polygraph for Relational and Sexual Issues is a practical guide for understanding how polygraph testing can be used to support relational healing and accountability. It’s especially valuable for clarifying the polygraph process itself—what it can and cannot do—and for helping clinicians and clients craft appropriate, targeted questions. Through real-world examples and expert insight, the book demystifies how polygraph can be integrated thoughtfully into disclosure and recovery work.”

“I believe a book is infused with the essence of the author, shining through amidst the words on the page. That is certainly true for Polygraph for Relational and Sexual Issues. I have known David Ower for about ten years- both personally and professionally- and he is an exquisite human being of passion, intelligence, heart and soul. His courageous book on the complex topic of rebuilding trust after the devastation of relational and sexual betrayal is a true gift. It gives us reason for hope that integrity can be restored and that individual and systemic healing are possible, with the use of polygraph exams as a powerful tool.”
